The all-new 2021 Bollinger B2 is the arriving all-electric pickup truck. After the all-electric crossover-SUV segment, pickup trucks are also entering the game. Tesla Cybertruck is just one of the models that will shake the automotive world. Bollinger B2 could be the next in line. The forthcoming pickup is basically a stretched version of the B1 SUV.
It comes with a cargo bed and a very strange appearance. However, the B2 model delivers amazing versatility and performances, thanks to its dual-motor configuration. Even the driving range is quite good, and Bollinger will also deliver one very practical pickup truck. Don’t let the appearance fool you, the B2 model is a beast.
2021 Bollinger B2 Exterior Review
It is quite strange that the brand-new pickup truck looks so outdated and primitive. It is just the way Bollinger rolls, we guess. The upcoming 2021 Bollinger B2 features a very traditional and conservative look. As we said, it is a stretched version of the B1 SUV, and it comes with a cargo bed. On the other hand, the exterior is very practical. It comes with removable and foldable exterior features. You can find something similar on the new Jeep Gladiator pickup.
The front end comes with a “frunk,” and the hood is additionally lifted. Moreover, the lower tailgate is another interesting cue from Bollinger. The front bumper is made from steel and LED headlights are offered as standard. Still, the squarish shape looks odd, and some customers surely won’t like it at all. All-Aluminum construction is tough, and it reduces the vehicle’s weight, significantly. B2 pickup will ride on its mud-terrain tires, and 20-inch ground clearance is good for off-roading.
We think the interior will be a huge success for a new 2021 Bollinger B2. Clearly, the manufacturer focused on versatility rather than comfort. One of the highlights is a pickup’s ability to accommodate 16 feet long items. The interior also comes with a fold-away rear wall. It is a similar cue that you can find in Chevy Avalanche, and it is called the “Midgate.”
Removable body panels are another practical feature. You can also remove doors, roof panels, and even the windshield. The list of standard amenities is far from impressive, and the same stands for the optional features. Moreover, the list of infotainment and connectivity tech is short. On the other hand, B2 offers six 110-volt outlets.
2021 Bollinger B2 Powertrain Specs
Thanks to its dual-motor setup, the 2021 Bollinger B2 comes with an all-wheel-drive setup. Motors are mounted at the front and rear ends. Together, the output is rated at 614 hp and 668 lb-ft of torque. According to Bollinger, B2 will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The top speed of 100 mph also sounds promising.
A two-speed transfer case is also available, which comes handy in the off-road adventures. Ground clearance varies from 10 to 20 inches. Moreover, the maximum towing capacity of 7500 pounds. As for the battery, a 120-kWh pack is available, and it provides around 200 miles of driving range. Furthermore, the battery can be charged in 10 hours via a 220-volt outlet.
