The upcoming 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD should arrive later this year. More importantly, this heavy-duty truck will suffer serious refinements. According to various reports, Chevy will make big changes in its heavy-duty lineup and that includes Silverado 3500 model. Thanks to that, we can expect more extensive exterior upgrades and further interior improvements.
In terms of available engine options, nothing will change. The good thing about Silverado is that it offers both gasoline and diesel powertrains. The complete lineup is very customizable and practical. Numerous trim levels and cab configurations are in the offer, along with interesting special editions.
2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Offers Strong Design
Chevy clearly feels that the time has come for some radical changes. New 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is just one of the models that will go through more drastic refinements. In terms of design, this heavy-duty truck will gain a more dominating appearance. For a start, the front fascia will host an all-new grille that sits higher than ever before. Headlights will be revised and the rear part will sport a “DuraBed” feature. It is a longer bed that provides the best-in-class cargo capacity.
According to the manufacturer, Silverado 3500HD currently offers 83.5 cubic feet of space. Moreover, new side steps are larger than before so the access is even easier now. New trailer-tow mirrors, exterior paints and probably new special edition will happen later this year. Lastly, a power-operated liftgate is standard from now on.
Interior Looks Very Practical
The all-new 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is one of the best heavy-duty models in terms of interior. The complete interior has been based on the half-ton Silverado 1500 pickup. There will be room for three persons but thanks to various configurations, you can buy a six-seat truck as well. Crew Cab setup provides amazing legroom so it is the most popular choice among the customers for a good reason.
The interior looks clean and is also very practical. Controls are easy to operate with and the list of standard features is longer than before. Base Silverado 3500HD comes with plenty of plastic materials. However, Chevy will look to reduce hard plastics inside the cabin. Thanks to that, you can count on a more premium cabin, more features, and higher safety ratings.
2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Powertrain Details

This truck offers a 10-speed automatic transmission that works with a diesel engine. On the other hand, gasoline V8 is still using a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
