The Italian manufacturer is about to introduce its small pickup truck. The 2021 Fiat Strada is a model for South America and it has been recently introduced. Strada comes with compact dimensions and a boxy shape. A new batch of spy shots is available and clearly, Fiat will deliver a more stylish appearance this time around. Whatsoever, the design is similar to the design of the new Toro pickup. In Brazil, Strada will arrive under the “Ram 700” nameplate.
Moreover, this pickup will share a lot of components with the Fiat Fullback. Also, the new 2021 Fiat Strada will gain numerous refreshments. On top of that, we expect a more powerful engine or some kind of high-performance version.
2021 Fiat Strada Styling
According to new spy photos, the 2021 Fiat Strada pickup will look closer to the larger Toro pickup truck. On the other hand, its close resemblance with Fiat Fullback will remain and is visible once again. The prototype was wearing heavy camouflage, but even with such a large amount of camo, some changes are evident at first glance.
For a start, Strada features a larger “FIAT” lettering on the grille. The same radiator grille looks more attractive and it looks perfect in combination with sleeker headlights. The front fascia also hosts new LED daytime running lights. Overall, the exterior design looks more distinctive than ever before. Lastly, Fiat will introduce Black Vulcano and Red Alpine exterior colors.
What we like about the upcoming 2021 Fiat Strada is its practical interior. To this date, new interior details are not available. However, this pickup will surely continue with the perfect interior layout. While not that luxurious, Strada provides a solid amount of high-tech amenities.
Moreover, its list of standard features is surprisingly long. The cabin is very user-friendly and all of the buttons and controls are driver-oriented. Gauges are so easy to read and that also includes smaller displays. Comfort is far from premium, but remember, Strada is an affordable pickup. Still, if you want more luxury, you can buy one of the upper trim levels.
According to numerous reports, current 1.4-liter diesel powertrain will remain. In 2021 Fiat Strada, this engine is producing 95 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque. The five-speed manual transmission has been offered as standard. A 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine is optional. This is a new output so the exact figures are not available yet.
Fiat will release more details closer to the release date. Strada pickup will also get a CVT transmission that will be paired to a new 1.3-liter engine. Italian automaker could also introduce a high-performance version. However, this is just a rumor at the moment. Finally, Fiat plans to sell Strada in Europe and that variant will deploy a 1.0-liter turbo-four gasoline powertrain.
