There will be two engine options under the bonnet. A 6.2-liter is gone, so the standard unit is a 6.8-liter V10 that delivers up to 288 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque. The optional engine is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8. This turbodiesel drivetrain produces 440 horses and 925 lb-ft of torque.
The V8 engine provides class-leading figures, and the torque numbers are higher than the competitors from Ram and Chevrolet. Both engines will use a 6-speed automatic TorqShift-G transmission.
2019 Ford F-550 XL model review
Perhaps the most recommendable trim is the XL model. This model comes with an affordable price that starts at $40,000. The exterior design includes a black bumper, door handles, and a lower air dam. The headlights are equipped with the quad dual-beam halogen lamps and the front end adds two towing hooks.
All of this equipment comes as standard with the XL trim level. As all other trims, the XL models are also available in three configurations. A regular cab and super cab are offering three passengers seats. The crew cab can accommodate six persons. Safety rating is great, and you can even equip this model with the 4×2 and 4×4 driving systems. 2019 Ford F-550 XL will also use a 6.8-liter V10 as standard and the 6.7-liter V8 remains optional. The maximum payload is 12,730 lbs for the model F-550 DRW 4×2 and gross combined weight rating 40,000 lbs for the F-550 DRW 4×2,4×4.
2019 Ford F-550 price and release date
The forthcoming 2019 Ford F-550 will come in three trim levels. The price starts at $39,000 and the range-topping Lariat trim will cost almost $60,000. This pickup truck will go on sale with the rest of the Super Duty lineup, at the beginning of 2019.
