The all-new 2020 Ford F-150 Hybrid is almost ready to hit the roads. Ford will look to electrify most of its vehicles in the near future, not only cars and SUVs but also the pickup trucks. We are yet to hear the exact specs of the 2020 Ford F-150 Hybrid. To this moment, there were so many speculations and rumors about the possible hybrid drivetrain. The current model offers a 3.3-liter V6 as standard and the 5.0-liter EcoBoost V8.

The first option delivers 290 horses and 265 lb-ft of torque. The optional V8 can produce 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of twists. There is a diesel variant as well, but the diesel is unlikely to be paired with the electric motor. That means the Blue Oval carmaker will look to utilize the electric motor with one of the first engine options.

Towing capacity

F-150 Hybrid should offer slightly more power than the regular model and will for sure tow around 13,000 pounds. The most significant increase will happen in the fuel economy department. It is expected from the F-150 Hybrid to deliver the best-in-class mileage.

The forthcoming 2020 Ford F-150 Hybrid will cost around $38,000. Have in mind the base model starts at $30,000. Hybrid models will offer numerous trim levels just like the regular F-150 pickup.

That means the price of the F-150 Hybrid will go up to almost $70,000. The production started at Ford’s plant in Dearborn Michigan and the hybrid pickup truck will arrive at some point in 2020.
