The upcoming 2020 Ford F-250 Limited is the range-topping trim level. It includes everything from the Platinum trim and it adds a couple of more systems and luxury stuff. That includes a surround-view camera, panoramic sunroof, two-tone leather, and some other premium stuff.
Moreover, all of these amenities are standard. New F-250 will introduce some changes. That means we can expect a couple of visual changes and interior updates. Moreover, the F-250 model will get new powertrain and an all-new transmission.
2020 Ford F-250 Limited Design
New 2020 Ford F-250 Limited model has been caught on cameras and it looks attractive. However, on the same spy photos, we saw the base trim level. There are still no words on Limited trim level. On the other hand, we believe the 2020 Ford F-250 Limited will get the same types of upgrades. So far, we know that the all-new Super Duty model will get a revised front end.
That includes a new badge and bolder grille. Rear-end now comes with the reshaped taillights. Of course, Limited trim adds more luxury, which includes body-color bumpers, chrome trims, and LED lighting system. On top of that, a tailgate assists with step and tow hooks. Whatsoever, the only optional exterior feature is led roof clearance lights.
Numerous Cabin Updates
The interior will get numerous updates in terms of high-tech. That includes a new infotainment system and new safety systems. The 2020 Ford F-250 Limited adds a surround-view camera, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Moreover, a panoramic sunroof and two-tone leather upholstery are available. When it comes to optional stuff, F-250 Limited offers all-weather floor mats, black vinyl floor coverings, and rear inflatable seat belts. There will be room for five passengers and the interior layout will largely remain.
Just like in the previous years, Ford F-250 has only two real competitors. First rival is Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. Silverado’s tow rating is lower but still more than respectable. Both Silverado and F-250 are looking upscale and attractive. What can we say about the range-topping trim levels? The 2020 Ford F-250 Limited is very luxurious and premium both in and out. In our opinion, F-250 is a better model in terms of tech and it offers better payload capacity.
On the other hand, Ram 2500 is another tough rival for Ford’s heavy-duty pickup. New Ram 2500 will introduce exterior upgrades for 2020 and it will look more modern than before. Still, F-250 looks better and shinier. Again, Blue Oval’s tech is impressive. However, Ram 2500 offers better comfort and better performances on the upper trim levels.
2020 Ford F-250 Limited Engine
The forthcoming 2020 Ford F-250 Limited will offer two engine options. Standard was a 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine. However, Blue Oval will introduce all-new 7.0-liter V8. Larger powertrain will deliver 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
This unit delivers much better fuel efficiency and new 10-speed automatic gearbox. Ford promises better handling and a smoother ride. Optionally, a 6.7-liter V8 diesel is still available. This powertrain is good for 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque. New F-250 Limited will tow over 30,000 pounds with this turbodiesel engine.
Price and Arrival
All-new Ford F-250 Limited isn’t affordable model at all. However, it surely delivers great performances and plenty of luxury. The new pickup will start at $81,000. We are still waiting for Blue Oval to release full details. F-250 model will go on sale in the coming months.
