In 2017, Super Duty came with new bodywork and now the rest of the body will be completed. That includes both exterior and interior design.

Also, we can expect further improvements under the hood. However, the Super Duty lineup will offer the same three powertrain choices. In order to complete the three-year cycle, the Blue Oval will introduce further exterior upgrades. The most significant upgrade will happen up front with the brand-new grille. However, not all the F-Series Super Duty models will get the same grille. Grille is more sculpted and open than before.

However, Chassis Cab gets with thin horizontal bars. Crew Cab version comes with a sportier grille and F-350 model offers cleaner grille design. Ford logo will sit in the middle of the grille. After the latest spy shots, we can’t say the exterior will suffer significant changes. However, some refreshments will surely happen. More importantly, shape and vehicle’s dimensions will remain. Powertrain Details

Interestingly, over 50 percent of Super Duty buyers are opting for the diesel engine. The existing 6.7-liter turbodiesel Power Stroke engine is available once again. However, this time, diesel powertrain will get some improvements. Current variant offers 450 horses and 935 lb-ft of torque. Also, the payload is rated at 7,640 pounds while the tow rating is 35,000 pounds.

The 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty will look to overwhelm those figures. Also, the goal is to beat new Ram’s 3500 pickup truck. A 6.8-liter SOHC V10 gasoline engine is available once again. However, some reports are suggesting a 7.3-liter V8 to replace this Triton engine. A 6.2-liter V8 that produces 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque will surely remain. All three powertrain choices will be mated to a new 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission.
