The forthcoming 2021 Ford F-600 will continue with improvements. The F-600 is a relatively new heavy-duty truck so the upgrades are not that significant. This model delivers great performances and it is a true work truck. F-600 is a reliable model in every possible way. And while the 2020 model arrives with a gasoline engine exclusively, the 2021 version will introduce a diesel powertrain option.
Slotted between F-550 and F-650 models, the F-600 truck will offer a familiar Godzilla V8 engine, along with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel. However, exterior and interior changes are truly minor. Still, we should expect more standard and optional features.
Ford F-600 Looks Tough
Blue Oval manufacturer will try to deliver minor facelift. Thanks to that, the new 2021 Ford F-600 will look more modern than the outgoing model. While it offers the capabilities of a medium-duty truck, F-600 can be easily fitted into the Super Duty lineup. Both F-550 and F-600 models are using the same architecture and dimensions are very similar.
Of course, the F-600 variant comes with better towing capacity and it looks more aggressive. The F-600 truck offers larger 19.5-inch wheels and it adds more weight. The design language is easy to recognize and this model makes a real standout on the crowded roads. Changes for 2021 are very subtle, including revised LED headlights and a slightly wider grille.
Interior Gets More Features
The cabin of the 2021 Ford F-600 will remain in terms of design. It is a modern interior design with numerous stylish cues. For 2021, Ford will deliver a longer list of standard equipment. On top of that, the Blue Oval will introduce new and optional driver-assistance features. Thanks to that, safety is better than before and we should expect features such as traction control and hill start assist.
Moreover, stability control, blind-spot monitors, and adaptive cruise control are available as optional. The level of comfort remains intact, which means the upholstery and the seats are a carryover. This model comes with a modern 8-inch touchscreen and an updated SYNC3 infotainment system.
Diesel Powertrain Finally in the Offer
As we already said, the new 2021 Ford F-600 will deploy a 7.3-liter V8 engine as known as Godzilla. This gasoline powertrain is already available in the current model and it is the only powertrain choice. As for the 2021 model, Ford will introduce a diesel engine. This is a must for every work truck and F-600 will finally obtain this sort of powerplant.
It is a familiar 6.7-liter V8 Power Stroke engine with 330 horsepower. Moreover, a diesel engine delivers an astonishing 1000 lb-ft of torque. Still, the torque level will increase for the arriving model. We should expect even better towing capacity, which is great. As for the standard gasoline V8, this engine cranks out 350 hp and 470 lb-ft of twists.
2021 Ford F-600 Price and Release Date
The price of the upcoming 2021 Ford F-600 will start at about $44,500. If you want to buy an optional diesel powertrain, the price will rise to $50,000.
