The upcoming 2021 Ford F-650 truck is getting further upgrades. The medium-duty segment is getting stronger year after year. Most of the manufacturers are looking to improve the level of comfort and the premium feeling inside the cabin. The Blue Oval manufacturer will be no different. New F-650 truck will gain various high-tech updates.
On top of that, styling will suffer a couple of visual modifications too. As for the performances, nothing should change under the hood. That means both F-650 and F-750 commercial vehicles will offer diesel and gasoline engine options. Ford is still a leader in this segment, but the latest upgrades will surely improve its lineup of medium-duty trucks.
2021 Ford F-650 Cosmetic Changes
The all-new model will arrive with various cosmetic changes and upgrades. The 2021 Ford F-650 won’t get an exterior design. Instead, the Blue Oval manufacturer will provide mid-cycle refreshments. The front part comes with a larger grille and wider headlights. The front fenders are looking bigger too. The hood looks different and more aggressive.
On the other hand, F-650 will arrive with the same windshield, roof, wheels and door sills. New exterior paints are a possibility as well. The ladder frame won’t change either, and chassis cab will be in the offer. Rear part and side profile will remain intact, but Ford could deliver a couple of new features on the upper trim levels.
The interior of the 2021 Ford F-650 will get a more modern look, but it will remain as practical as before. The medium-duty truck comes with a new look of the dashboard and a new steering wheel. The instrument cluster is more transparent and easier to use. Blue Oval automaker offers Co-Pilot360 system as standard. On top of that, the customers will get hill-start assist and traction control systems.
Displays won’t change, and that includes both standard and optional unit. However, new infotainment system and latest driver-assistance aids will be in the offer. Adaptive cruise control is available, along with the lane keep assist, stability control and blind-spot monitors. Lastly, Ford will deliver a slightly higher level of comfort.
2021 Ford F-650 Engine
The upcoming 2021 Ford F-650 will use the same V8 turbodiesel. It is a reliable powertrain option that delivers 445 hp and 935 lb-ft of torque. However, the 2021 F-650 will get a higher level of torque. Thanks to that, powerful turbodiesel will now generate over 1000 lb-ft of twisting power. Towing capacity is impressive, along with the hauling ability. A 7.3-liter gasoline engine is a relatively new player in the game.
According to Ford, it is the most powerful gasoline engine in the segment. This V8 gasoline will produce 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. With the latest updates, Ford F-650 will surely retain its position as the most-capable medium-duty truck in the segment. Lastly, rumors about the new engine are false as Blue Oval manufacturer won’t introduce brand-new powertrain options.
