The upcoming 2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid is basically official. This particular model has been subject of rumors in the last couple of months. The reason is its hybrid powertrain and many fans were very skeptical about it. Now, the latest details are saying that the F-150 Raptor Hybrid will happen. A leaked document that shows all of the F-150 engines is the latest proof.
The same document is showing a hybrid version as well. Besides that, a new Raptor will introduce serious exterior refinements. Moreover, the interior will get small modifications and additional equipment. Overall, exciting times are coming for the F-150 Raptor model and here’s what you need to know.
2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid Exterior Look
After the latest rendering photos, drastic exterior changes are confirmed. The 2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid will receive a redesign, but we don’t know yet if we are looking at the next-gen F-150 Raptor. Reliable sources are saying the next-gen model is coming and Raptor will be offered in a crew cab setup. Still, the exact information should be revealed this summer.
What we know so far is that the rendering photos are showing numerous exterior upgrades. New Raptor looks blockier than ever and it features a single crossbar that divides the grille. The front fascia is under heavy camouflage but it seems that the front end looks more squared. That clearly suggests new layout upfront, with a wider grille and new headlights.
The Interior is still quite a mystery. New 2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid won’t depart from the regular gasoline-powered Raptor in terms of interior design. However, some novelties are on the way. The cabin is sportier than on the base F-150 model and Ford will try to deliver even sportier vibe. Moreover, the Blue Oval manufacturer will surely opt for more high-quality materials. On the other hand, interior layout, dashboard design and steering wheel should remain.
Furthermore, the upholstery won’t be changed as well. That means Raptor Hybrid will offer the same leather upholstery with suede inserts. New paddle shifters are a must, along with new and larger moonroof. Lastly, the customers will surely welcome additional technology upgrades and higher safety ratings.
2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid Engine
Back to the leaked list of engines that will power the upcoming F-150 pickup truck. There are six engine choices on the list. As for the 2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid, this version will ride on a new 3.5-liter V6 and it will work with a hybrid setup. Exact information is not available yet, but you should expect incredible fuel efficiency and strong performances.
As for the rest of the engine lineup, new 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 is also a mystery in terms of performance figures. A 5.0-liter V8 Coyote and 3.3-liter V6 gasolines are also in the offer in standard F-150 pickup. We’ll write about Raptor Hybrid and its figures once the Ford releases official specs. It is important to say that the Aviator Hybrid SUV with a 3.0-liter V6 PHEV setup generates 494 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. You should expect similar figures in the Ford Raptor Hybrid version.
Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2021 Ford Raptor Hybrid will start somewhere between $55,000 and $60,000. It will be the first Raptor with a hybrid powertrain and it will rival Ram Rebel TRX pickup. This version of the iconic pickup truck will go on sale by the end of the year. Before that, the official debut should happen this summer.
