The all-new 2022 Ford F250 could be the next-gen model. Blue Oval manufacturer didn’t have a logical order when it comes to introducing new-gen Ford Super Duty. Some generations lasted for eight years and some other only two. For that reason, it is hard to predict if the 2022 F250 will be a new-gen version.

However, the latest reports are suggesting exactly that. We are still waiting for official details or at least spy photos if nothing. Blue Oval manufacturer is surely planning something big with the new F250. The customers are excited and we expect a lot of drastic changes. That includes visual upgrades, interior updates, and even better performances.

2022 Ford F250 Updates

Visually, the upcoming 2022 Ford F250 will look robust and stylish as before. However, Ford will deliver various visual updates. On the other hand, this truck will continue to ride on the same platform as before. A new model should gain various refreshments, especially upfront.

F250 will introduce a new cut grille that looks sharper and more chrome accents. The headlights will be slimmer than before and flared fenders will be wider. New exterior paints, a tailgate step, and remote-operated power-locking tailgate are a must for 2022. Tremor package is already available and it will carry over into 2022 for sure. The rear part could pull one or two surprises but we don’t expect a significant change in the back.

Cabin Improvements

The upcoming 2022 Ford F250 will continue to offer a roomy interior with a high level of comfort. We don’t expect cabin revamp as some reports suggested. Instead, Blue Oval will focus on delivering new high-tech features and improving safety. For sure, new features or interior color schemes are always more than welcome.

Ford will also make massaging front seats with 10-way power adjustment as standard on the base trim level. Things like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto will remain for sure. More tech includes Wi-Fi with connection for a maximum of ten devices, Type-C ports, and new floor mats. Remote system and brand-new driver-assistance aids are basically official as on the new Ford F-150.

2022 Ford F250 Powertrain Specs

Under the hood, nothing will change, at least various sources reported. The 2022 Ford F250 will remain in terms of engine lineup but Ford could deliver slightly better performances. After all, one of its engines is almost brand-new. We are talking about the most powerful gasoline engine in a segment. It is a 7.3-liter V8 with 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.

On top of that, this unit comes with a new 10-speed automatic transmission. A 6.2-liter V8 remains standard and it generates 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of twisting power. As for the diesel, popular 6.7-liter PowerStroke is available again. This turbodiesel is known for its astonishing torque that has been rated at 1050 lb-ft. F250 won’t change its current platform so the rear-wheel-drive system remains standard.
