The upcoming 2021 GMC Syclone should make a huge comeback later this year. During the 90s, Syclone was a high-performance pickup with a turbocharged engine. However, the 90s version produced 280 hp, which was an impressive figure for that time. Nowadays, 280 horses are far from a high-performance pickup truck. Luckily, this model will be created by the SVE (Specialty Vehicle Engineering).
The company will opt for a 750HP engine and a standard AWD setup. Thanks to that, Syclone will become a mighty truck with fantastic acceleration. The price won’t be affordable, but SVE will deliver a sporty-looking pickup with great performances.
2021 GMC Syclone Design
The all-new 2021 GMC Syclone is based on the GMC Canyon pickup. Syclone will arrive in the extended cab configuration with a short bed. SVE will offer a new model in any factory color, which is excellent. The styling is very muscular and sporty stance is a must. The result is a good-looking pickup truck with perfect aerodynamics. The ride height is lowered, which makes perfect sense. The rear part comes with new side skirts, while the rear bumper is replaced by body-colored covers.
SVE says the Syclone will be everything but a work truck. The focus is solely on the performances. Because of that, Syclone will depart from GMC Canyon in many ways. From what we know, this pickup will offer 20-inch five-spoke wheels and plenty of matte black finishes.
Interior Looks Very Comfort
The interior of the 2021 GMC Syclone will look very premium. SVE will offer an optional leather package that will provide additional leather inserts and leather seats. All of the leather materials are available in only two colors. Accents are beautiful, along with the contrast stitching. Whatsoever, SVE will provide a supercharged V8 logo on the headrests.
The black seats are offered as standard, and the offer includes all-weather floor mats. Unlike the exterior, the interior won’t largely depart from the GMC Canyon. There is plenty of room for all of the passengers, and the seats will be slightly wider.
2021 GMC Syclone Uses V8 Engine
The highlight of the 2021 GMC Syclone is its potent V8 engine. It is a 5.3-liter V8 supercharged engine with 750 horsepower. On top of that, this engine can generate 600 lb-ft of torque. The SVE manufacturer opted for this V8 powertrain and provided a supercharger. Whatsoever, Canyon’s V6 is around the same weight as the V8, so Syclone won’t be a heavier vehicle.
Moreover, a new L83 aluminum block is available, along with the AWD system that is offered as standard. SVE will improve the handling, and it will provide new suspension and new dumpers. Brand-new tires are Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Price and Release Date
The price of the forthcoming 2021 GMC Syclone starts at around $80,000. The Elevation package costs additional $37,000. That is more than the price of the new Porsche 911.
Syclone is an impressive pickup truck that is far from affordable. However, if you want a 700+HP pickup truck, Syclone is the answer. SVE will only make 50 examples, and the sales will start by the end of 2020.
