The forthcoming 2021 Holden Colorado is ready for further improvements. This model is perhaps the most popular pickup truck in Australia. It comes with tradition, and it is very reliable. However, Colorado already looks somewhat outdated. For that reason, Holden will provide numerous cosmetic changes.
Whatsoever, after almost eight years, Colorado will get dimensional changes. As a result, Holden Colorado will be both wider and longer. From the inside, expect the latest tech updates, and possibly a couple of new amenities. No doubt, this model will continue with good sales, and it will look more stylish than ever before.
New 2021 Holden Colorado Will Be Larger
New 2021 Holden Colorado will arrive as a bigger model. Whatsoever, the new pickup will be longer and wider than its predecessor. Styling is similar to the Chevrolet Colorado pickup. On top of that, Holden will provide a few cosmetic updates. The front fascia will host the biggest changes. A new grille is in the works and headlights are larger.
At the back, taillights are modified, and rear bumper stays intact. We like the subtle sporty vibe with the current Colorado. The 2021 model could also gain a little bit more sportiness. Finally, new color choices are possibility, along with the new 19-inch wheels.
The interior will also host a lot of updates. New 2021 Holden Colorado already offers a pleasant cabin. However, the newest changes will improve the comfort from the inside. Still, don’t expect significant upgrades. The main reason for that is perhaps that the Colorado pickup doesn’t have a real competitor in Australia. The interior looks modern, and some parts are very stylish.
High-quality materials are already present, along with the soft-touch surfaces. Higher trim levels are premium, and the customers can choose between different cab variants. You can buy both one-row and two-row models. New 2021 Colorado will get latest technology updates and new safety systems.
Performance, Optional Engines, and Transmission
Things under the hood will largely remain. The approaching 2021 Holden Colorado will continue to offer a 2.8-liter Duramax engine. A diesel powertrain generates 200 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the standard gasoline engine doesn’t provide such a great performance. 200 horses and 192 lb-ft of torque won’t satisfy customers.
However, 3.6-liter V6 gasoline is optional engine that delivers 305 hp and 270 lb-ft of twist. Interestingly, all three outputs are using the same 8-speed automatic transmission. Holden Colorado continues to offer an optional AWD system.
2021 Colorado Price and Release Date
The price of the future 2021 Holden Colorado will receive a small increase. The most popular pickup truck in “Land Down Under” will now start at $32,000. On the other hand, the range-topping trim level will cost around $50,000.
Colorado remains a compact pickup truck, despite its larger proportions. The sales will start later next year, firstly in Australia and New Zeeland.
