The upcoming 2020 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid is finally arriving on the markets. The famous pickup is well-known for its performances, however, Ridgeline Hybrid should deliver slight improvements. Besides that, the exterior won’t depart from the base model. The interior comes with ample room and plenty of modern touches. Even safety is better than before. Pickup is offering four trim levels and the Type-R model will be available without the hybrid engine.

Unfortunately, the 2020 model comes with minor changes and upgrades, besides the mentioned hybrid powertrain. Every update is minor and barely visible, so the unibody styling will remain. Ridgeline will keep the current independent suspension which provides better handling and smoother ride. Ridgeline Hybrid will offer above average tow rating, but still nowhere near the tow leaders in the mid-size segment.

2020 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid Exterior Upgrades

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will be similar to the current Honda Pilot in so many ways. The exterior is perhaps the finest example of that. Two models will even share the underpinnings. Ridgeline pickup comes with stylish design and modern styling cues. The hybrid model won’t depart from the base model or should we say it will look exactly the same.

For the 2020 model, the upgrades are really minor. Front grille will get more chrome accents and that’s about it. Headlights, fog lamps, bumpers, and rear end will all stay intact. Even the side profile will remain the same. The two-way tailgate is standard once again, along with the lockable bed storage.

The interior of the hybrid model will be the same as the interior of the regular Ridgeline pickup truck. Once again, Ridgeline will borrow plenty of stuff from the Honda Pilot model. The layout is more than good and the cabin is generally practical. Comfortable seats and ample interior room are providing a very upscale feeling from the inside. Cloth upholstery remains standard, along with the backlighting system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The backlight system provides even more comfort, mostly during the night. The list of standard equipment is long, but then again, the base model is far from luxurious. The 2020 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will get safety boost so the safety rating will be maximized. On the other hand, if you want a premium pickup truck, you’ll have to opt for the range-topping trim level.

2020 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid Specs

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline base model will still deploy a 3.5-liter V6 as the only engine option. While the standard configuration delivers 280 HP and 265 lb-ft of torque, the electric motor will pump more power for sure. Just like with the Accord model, Honda will combine the base engine with the single electric unit.

Thanks to that, the 2020 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will produce over 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of twists. And while the base model offers 22 mpg combined, the hybrid variant will be rated at over 30 mpg.
