In 2021, Honda will update many of its models, and that includes both SUVs and pickup trucks. The upcoming 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is one of the models that will get a couple of exciting and modern updates. This premium pickup truck already looks upright. On top of that, it comes with a lot of standard equipment and safety is also impressive.
The only thing that this model doesn’t offer is compelling performances. If you want that, go with the Ridgeline Type-R variant. However, if you need luxury, superb ride quality, or anything else, Black Edition is the model for you. Honda offers an SUV-like cabin, a lot of stylish features, and incredible design. Ridgeline pickup will continue to roll on its unibody chassis, and we expect further updates.
2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition Design
We like each trim level this pickup truck has to offer. However, the 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is something completely different. It is a range-topping trim level that looks premium, and it provides a lot of luxury. For some reason, Black Edition reminds us of Lincoln’s Black Label models. New Ridgeline will get restyled front fascia, new headlights, and additional chrome trims on the grille. On top of that, a two-way tailgate system is also available.
All trim levels will get this type of upgrades, including the Black Edition. This pickup is offered in a standard Crystal Black Pearl exterior paint, and it looks incredible. Numerous black trims, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, and also blacked-out features are all offered as standard. Furthermore, this trim level really changes the appearance of the Ridgeline truck, and it is one of the best-looking models in its segment.
High Level of Luxury Inside
The upcoming 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is especially refreshing on the inside. The range-topping model comes with a high level of luxury. Everything starts with leather upholstery and comfortable black leather seats. On top of that, Honda offers red contrast stitching and red ambient lighting. Only a couple of features are optional, and basically everything is offered as standard.
So, if you want to buy the Black Edition model, you shouldn’t worry about the interior equipment. Furthermore, you will get a lot of driver-assistance features and a five-star safety rating. As for the optional amenities, bed extender, black moldings, roof rails, and all-season floor mats are available.
2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition Under the Hood
As for the performance, the new 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is unchanged. The same 3.5-liter V6 engine is still in the offer. This unit is using a 6-speed automatic transmission, and Black Edition offers a standard AWD system. Total output is rated at 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The potent V6 comes with intelligent variable torque management, and it can tow 5,000 pounds.
On top of that, Black Edition also offers a standard eco-assist and hill start assist systems. Ridgeline Black Edition offers a unibody platform and a fully independent suspension. However, its off-road ability is minimal.
Price and Release Date
Ridgeline pickup truck is available in six different trim levels. The base model is priced at $30,000. On the other hand, the range-topping 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition will start at $44,000.
It is one of the most luxurious pickup trucks on the market. In our opinion, the price is more than affordable. The Japanese manufacturer will launch its new model in the second half of 2020.
