The forthcoming 2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid is finally on its way. The all-new hybrid variant will arrive with impressive fuel efficiency and great performances. Overall, Ridgeline pickup won’t suffer any visual or tech changes. The hybrid drivetrain is surely the only significant upgrade. On top of that, Ridgeline Hybrid will look the same as the regular gasoline model.
Interior offers ample room and it looks modern. There will be up to four trim levels. However, if you want a high-performance Type R variant, a hybrid powertrain is not an option. Ridgeline will continue to deploy a unibody platform and its independent suspension. Generally, this pickup comes with great driving manners and smooth ride.
2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid Design
The all-new 2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will look the same as the base model. Knowing that Ridgeline will get minor changes for 2021. Both hybrid and gasoline versions will deploy the same unibody configuration. Honda will try to deliver a more stylish design.
Ridgeline Hybrid will look modern and very attractive. Front grille with get more chrome trims and it will sit higher than before. Headlights and bumpers will stay intact. In the back, taillights will suffer small modifications, but nothing drastic. To the sides, new Ridgeline will look subtle and stylish as before. Honda offers a two-way tailgate feature as standard. Lockable bed storage is another standard feature on the mid-size pickup.
New 2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will offer very modern and comfortable interior. Everything from the inside looks surprisingly upscale. On the other hand, we are not surprised by the practicality of the mid-size pickup. Seats are comfortable and there will be more than enough room for all the occupants. Cloth upholstery is still offered as standard in the base model.
A hybrid version will be no different. Leather upholstery is optional, but upper trim levels are offering this feature as standard. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and interior backlighting are available too. Honda will introduce a longer list of standard amenities as well. The same stands for the safety and Ridgeline Hybrid will largely benefit from it.
Regular Ridgeline pickup still offers a 3.5-liter V6. It is the only engine option and it delivers 280 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. The 2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will deliver more power thanks to the electric motor and the battery pack. Total output will be rated at around 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, Ridgeline will get impressive fuel efficiency.
While the gasoline variant delivers 22 mpg combined, a hybrid version will be rated at 34 mpg. As we already mentioned, Honda will keep its independent suspension and unibody architecture.
2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid Price and Release Date
Honda will keep the starting price at $30,000. Now, the 2021 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid will cost more, around $35,500. There will be four trim levels, along with the high-performance Ridgeline Type-R version.
However, Type-R is available with gasoline drivetrain only. The mid-size pickup will go on sale in the second half of 2020. Most of the reliable reports are predicting November next year.
