New 2021 Mitsubishi L200 will get numerous updates. That includes plenty of smaller changes as a part of mid-cycle refreshment. Knowing that L200 is still far from a total revamp. Mitsubishi will introduce a couple of visual updates and performances will be improved.
A new pickup truck will remain attractive and the cabin will be very modern and comfortable. Mitsu will try to deliver better fuel efficiency and some other mechanical changes are rumored. Still, we’ll have to wait for the official details from the Japanese manufacturer.
If you read something about the redesign of the L200 pickup, that will not happen. At least not in 2021. The upcoming 2021 Mitsubishi L200 will continue to roll with the current generation. Whatsoever, the Series 6 are relatively new, so the design is fresh as well. Vehicle’s dimensions won’t change. L200 is 205 inches long and 70 inches tall.
The customers will have to choose between variants with two and four doors. Styling is modern too and new sheet metal is one of the innovations. On top of that, the front fascia will get a couple of modest improvements. As a result, the front part looks sharper than before and L200 will gain more muscles this time. The goal is to deliver a more aggressive appearance.
More Tech, Better Safety
When it comes to interior changes, there won’t be any type of it. The cabin sports the same layout as the current model. New-gen model already got plenty of refreshments. For that reason, the 2021 Mitsubishi L200 is mostly a carryover. However, the technology department will be improved. L200 will offer more standard features and this pickup will get more safety systems.
Those aids are optional on the new model. Systems such as blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, and the emergency braking are all available now. Design of the cabin, dashboard, and the number of buttons will largely remain.
2021 L200 Trim Levels
The forthcoming 2021 Mitsubishi L200 is available in numerous trim levels. The base model comes with 16-inch steel wheels, power windows, Bluetooth and air conditioning. Double Cab variant cost slightly more and it adds 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, and two extra doors.
Mid-range Warrior trim level is perhaps the best possible offer. L200 Warrior offers 18-inch alloy rims, touchscreen, LED lighting system and auto headlights. Inside, rear privacy glass is available, along with the leather-wrapped steering wheel. On top of that, Warrior offers more safety equipment.
Barbarian trim level is covered in leather upholstery. Heated front seats, interior lighting, off-road driving modes, and a 360-degree camera are available as standard. Luxury is everywhere and this model will add systems such as rear parking sensors, auto high beams and much more.
Engine Specs and Mechanical Changes
All-new 2021 Mitsubishi L200 will keep its engine lineup. However, Mitsubishi promises better performances and fuel efficiency. For the start, a 2.4-liter turbodiesel produces 180 horses. If you want better fuel economy, a 2.5-liter turbodiesel is a right choice. On the other hand, this engine delivers 135 hp. As for the gasoline engine, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder is available and it generates 150 horsepower.
The customers can still choose between a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. We’ll have to wait and see which engine will get a boost in terms of power. Mitsubishi will also introduce a couple of mechanical upgrades. Larger brakes and new driving modes are available. Thanks to that, a new off-road driving mode will surely please the customers.
