2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Design
Basically, Laramie means luxury. The upcoming 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie is still the range-topping trim level. Thanks to that, Laramie trim largely departs from the rest of the trim levels. For instance, this version offers standard LED headlights and Class IV Hitch Receiver. And while the rest of the trim levels offers painted steel wheels, Laramie offers aluminum wheels.
The same wheels are looking very modern and it adds a more stylish appearance. As we already wrote, all changes will be applied to all of the trims. For the start, Ram 1500 will get a lighter frame. The manufacturer claims that the new model will be around 220 pounds lighter. The front fascia will get the new grille with large RAM lettering. That means the old crosshair grille is gone. Ram will also introduce new exterior paints and two-tone paint schemes.
More Technology Inside
The forthcoming 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie will get numerous updates, just like the other trim levels. Ram promised more technology from the inside for 2020. That includes the update of the infotainment system, more standard features, and new safety aids. As always before, the trim level will largely determine the level of luxury from the inside.
If you want luxury, Laramie model is the right choice. For instance, Tradesman and Big Horn versions are offering 8.4-inch Uconnect display. Laramie offers a larger 12-inch infotainment screen. Ram 1500 Laramie also comes with a standard dual-zone air conditioning. You can still load numerous packages and optional features, even on the range-topping trim level.
2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Powertrain
Tradesman, Big Horn and Laramie trim levels are available with 4×2 or 4×4 setup and with the standard 3.6-liter V6. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and eTorque system. Total output is rated at 305 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.
Optionally, a 5.7-liter V8 is available and it delivers 395 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. A 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel is another option that produces 260 horses and 440 lb-ft of twist. Now, a hybrid version will also become available. Of course, the Laramie trim level will also feature hybrid drivetrain as an option.
Price and Release Date
The all-new 2020 Ram 1500 will start at $41,000. On the other hand, the base trim level starts at $28,500. Thanks to the numerous packages and trim levels, Ram 1500 is a very customizable model.
