The all-new 2020 Ram Heavy Duty lineup of pickup trucks is almost ready to conquer the markets once again. Both Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 are very versatile and practical trucks. More importantly, both of them are very powerful. Numerous engine choices are available, along with a wide choice of trim levels. Interestingly, Ram 2500 is the only model in its respective segment that offers a rear coil-spring suspension.

The Mega Cab models will get a better interior layout which should provide better legroom for the occupants.

Tungsten Limited models are offering plenty of upscale materials and features. That includes leather seats, wood trims, chrome accents and much more. However, even the base model comes with great comfort and plenty of standard features.

The approaching 2020 Ram Heavy Duty will offer numerous powertrain choices. Well, three of them to be exact. However, it is the same three units from the current model. A 5.7-liter V8 is still a standard powertrain and it generates up to 385 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. A larger 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is the optional engine that can produce 410 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque.

The third option is a diesel variant, recommendable for towing and hauling. The 6.7-liter Cummins is delivering 370 horses and up to 800 lb-ft of torque. It comes with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. On the other hand, gasoline units are available with the 6-speed automatic transmission only.

The 2020 Ram 3500 is what you need if you need a workhorse that will carry things and haul heavy cargo. Just like the Ram 2500 model, the 3500 won’t depart in terms of design from the Ram 1500 model. However, the 3500 model is more like a “work” version.

It will also use a 6.7-liter Cummins powertrain. However, the performances are even better. Some additional equipment such as fifth-wheel hitch will surely help. For that reason, Ram 3500 is delivering astonishing 905 lb-ft of torque and it can tow up to 30,000 pounds. It is class-leading torque figures.

The base 2020 Ram Heavy Duty model starts at $35,000. However, stronger versions and special variants could cost almost $75,000. Both Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 pickup trucks will hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2020.
