The forthcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn is the new trim level for next year. This trim replaces current Laramie Longhorn variant. The Laramie Longhorn is known for luxury cabin with premium materials and features. Moreover, this version comes with various wood elements and leather upholstery. The result is a unique pickup truck that comes with tradition and reliability.
However, this trim is now called Limited Longhorn and it slots below the range-topping Limited variant. Whatsoever, two of the highest trim levels are sharing a lot of similarities, besides the name. Ram opted to change the list of standard and optional features so here’s what you can expect from this new and exciting trim.
For a start, new 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn comes with new chrome accents and chrome bumpers. Moreover, this trim level is equipped with premium LED headlights. The headlamps are available with standard Adaptive Front-lighting system known as AFS.
You will also get tow hooks, side steps and wheel flares. The Limited Longhorn pickup comes with unique belt-buckle badge placed on the front doors and the tailgate. Everything about this model looks very stylish, including the wheels and the front fascia.
Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn Interior Upgrades
On the inside, the upcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn will get a couple of improvements. For a start, there is a new heads-up display with various custom modes. Moreover, new digital rear-view mirror is finally in the offer. The Uconnect infotainment system is updated and it will deliver new off-road pages on 4×4 Off-Road variants.
There is a new Trailer Tow Package that is optional and is recommended to those who are looking for a pickup truck to get the job done. On top of that, there is the Enhanced Trailer Tow Package for improved trailering experience. One of the two range-topping trim levels delivers an integrated trailer brake controller. Furthermore, there are trailer reverse steering controls and new trailer light check system.
New trim level won’t offer any sort of changes under the hood. Thanks to that, the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn will offer a reliable 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. A 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is also available and this engine will produce 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. Still, it seems like the optional 3.0-liter EcoDiesel powertrain remains the most popular choice among the buyers.
Diesel engine cranks out 260 horses and up to 480 lb-ft of torque. No matter which engine you choose, an eight-speed automatic transmission is available. We are waiting for Ram to release more information about the availability of the eTorque hybrid system that should be in the offer as well. According to manufacturer, this version will add around 90 horses and 130 lb-ft of twisting power.
