2021 Ram 1500 Exterior Upgrades
The forthcoming 2021 Ram 1500 will get plenty of updates, especially from the outside. Numerous exterior upgrades are visible at first glance. Improved aerodynamics and lighter high-strength steel frame are just the beginning. According to Ram, a new pickup will be around 225 pounds lighter. The front fascia comes with some significant improvements.
For the start, Ram 1500 will become a first pickup with the front air dam. A six-sided grille is brand-new. It will replace the famous crosshair grille. New grille will wear RAM lettering on it. New headlights are equipped with LED lightbulbs and adaptive headlights are optional. The rear end will suffer a lot too. Halogen taillights are looking very modern, and Ram will offer new optional wheels. However, 16-inch wheels are still a standard option. Additional exterior colors are available too and the two-paint scheme is once again optional.
Cabin Deploys Luxury Materials
The all-new 2021 Ram 1500 will introduce plenty of updates from the inside. The interior will get significant changes. Basically, each trim level will get something new. Ram 1500 will once again the comfortable cabin with plenty of room. The interior remains practical and the ride is surprisingly quiet.
2021 Ram 1500 Various Engine Options
Ram won’t introduce any changes under the hood. The upcoming 2021 Ram 1500 will continue to use the same engine lineup. However, there is no need for such a radical change. After all, this pickup offers both diesel and gasoline options. Moreover, a hybrid powertrain is available as well. A 3.6-liter V6 that produces 305 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque is still a standard option.
A 5.7-liter V8 Hemi is an optional engine. It delivers 395 horses and 310 lb-ft of twist. Both units will use the same 8-speed automatic transmission. When it comes to a diesel engine, a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel is available. This powertrain cranks out 260 HP and 440 lb-ft of torque.
As for the Ram 1500 Hybrid, some details are not available yet. However, Ram will surely look to combine standard V6 with the electric motor and the battery pack. The electric generator adds around 90 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to that, Ram 1500 will get more power and better fuel economy rating.
Price and Arrival
The price of the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 will start at $28,500. This pickup will offer numerous trim levels. Knowing that the range-topping Limited trim level will cost over $60,000.
Iconic pickup will go on sale in the last quarter of 2019. A hybrid model will hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2021, and it will rival the most popular F-150 model.
