The upcoming 2022 Tesla Cybertruck is getting additional updates. A few days ago, Tesla said the sales will begin by the end of 2021. The competition is strong, with models such as GMC Hummer EV, Rivian R1T, and Ford F-150 EV all coming to the markets. Cybertruck looks odd, but its performance is incredible. On top of that, the interior is very impressive and futuristic.
However, other manufacturers are delivering a more traditional look to its electric pickup trucks, so Tesla will have a problem with Cybertruck’s exterior design. Still, this is how Tesla rolls and it will be interesting to see how things will go. One thing that goes in favor of Tesla Cybertruck is its surprisingly affordable price. Other competitors will price their models at a significantly bigger price.
Odd-Looking Exterior Design
Elon Musk said the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck is finished with engineering. That means its design is complete and we can’t wait to see a new electric truck. Tesla plans to deliver more exterior features and some small cosmetic upgrades. The thing is that Tesla plans to deliver more angular models. Still, its strange shape remains but it will be a very recognizable model for sure. The truck is surprisingly light and it is made of stainless steel and tires.
The interior offers room for six persons and the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck will offer a futuristic design. The cabin highlights are a large 17-inch and very unique steering wheel. There will be plenty of advanced technology features and safety will be impressive. Tesla offers plenty of cameras and it promises a high level of comfort.
2022 Cybertruck Specs
This electric truck is all about performances. The 2022 Tesla Cybertruck will offer a couple of different configurations. For a start, a single-motor setup is available in the base model. This model will offer 250 miles on a single charge. A dual-motor setup provides 300 miles and slightly more power. On top of that, the three-motor setup is the best possible option as it provides up to 500 miles of all-electric range on a single charge.
According to Tesla, Cybertruck will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.9 seconds. The top speed of 130 mph is more than impressive for such a robust truck. Dual-motor Cybertruck sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and single-motor model in 6.5 seconds. According to the manufacturer, charging will take around 45 minutes to reach 90 percent. Tesla currently offers almost 15,000 charging stations across the United States and that number will grow.
2022 Tesla Cybertruck Price, Release Date
As we said, the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck could win its competition because of its affordable price. Believe it or now, the entry-level Cybertruck will cost only $40,000. The three-motor version will surely cost above $50,000.
Other rivals will cost significantly motor, so if you can close your eyes on Tesla’s strange design, this model is the right answer. A few days ago, Tesla confirmed that the 2022 Cybertruck will reach the dealerships before the end of 2021.
