The honeycomb grille now comes with more chrome trims and it looks better as a result. Higher trim levels are offering more premium look with LED headlights and body-color bumpers.
It is the same exterior design as the current model and Tundra will again offer astonishing off-roading equipment. That includes skid plates and additional hauling and towing gear. The previous model came with new exterior paints such as Magnetic Gray Metallic and Sky Metallic. Unfortunately, new Tundra won’t offer new exterior colors.

When it comes to the base model, you will find a lot of hard plastics and large buttons. However, even the plastic materials are quality. A 7-inch display comes as standard and some features such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth are available.
2020 Toyota Tundra Diesel powertrain options
While the exterior and interior suffered minor changes only, the engine department will host a lot of upgrades. For the start, a 4.6-liter V8 is no longer available. The aging powertrain is gone and the new 5.7-liter V8 is in. This unit delivers 381 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. However, the biggest addition is the all-new 3.5-liter V6 diesel.
The V6 is capable of producing up to 305 horses and 310 lb-ft of torque. Smaller and less powerful than the gasoline engine, diesel powertrain comes with a better fuel economy numbers.
The diesel engine is offering both 8 and 10-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, you can equip gasoline engine with the 6-speed automatic only.
2020 Toyota Tundra Diesel price and release date
The arriving 2020 Toyota Tundra Diesel will become available for about $36,000. The base model is around $32,000 and the diesel variant is $4,000 over the base price.
Range-topping models are slightly over $50,000 and famous TRD Pro variant is around $50,000. Tundra Diesel will most likely arrive at the beginning of 2020.
